Tucked behind DeLong Elementary School off South 12th Street in Tacoma is a quiet, walkable, neighborhood with manicured yards, kids running and playing outside, people gardening or walking their dogs and neighbors who know each other by name.  “When we were originally looking for a home we were looking in North Tacoma,” says Chelsea Richardson. “We couldn’t find the kind of home we wanted in our price range and then we stumbled on this neighborhood and we absolutely love it.”

Her husband, Lee feels the same way. ” If we want to go to a park, we just cross the street, “If we want to let the dog run, we go up the block to the open field and walking trails,” he says. “One of the best things is that it is so centrally located to everything. The freeway, the Proctor District, the waterfront, Downtown Tacoma, we really couldn’t be happier here.”

You would never guess from looking at the Richardson’s cute home with the red door that inside you would find over 2,000 square feet with 5 generously sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 family rooms!  When you first walk in, you step into the living room with dining area which opens to the completely remodeled kitchen that leads to nice patio &  huge backyard.

Walk down the hallway and you find a large bedroom & bath and a really nice surprise – a cute little play area & another super cozy family room with a fireplace and a separate laundry room. “We really like the lay-out of this house,” says Lee.

Upstairs there is another master bedroom, 3 more bedrooms and another remodeled bath. “We will be sad to move from this house,” says Chelsea, but we know the next family that moves in is going to love it as much as we do.”
